Out-of-School-Time Group
Purpose:
To increase opportunities and quality of STEM education in out-of-school-time programs for youth and for staff who teach STEM Subjects.
Objectives:
- Funding for project-based STEM curriculum, materials and events
- Training for staff who teach STEM subjects
- Development of local Materials/Resource Library (Inventory) for use in STEM classes
- Connecting available resources and ideas with out-of-school time staff and kids
- Investigating opportunities for organizations that deliver afterschool programming to partner with local higher education to develop program for “Teachers in Training” where student applicants could receive credit for teaching/working in afterschool programs

Meeting location date and time: 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:00pm at the YMCA Beach House, 340 Pomeroy Ave, Pismo Beach, CA
