MISSION: Conducts research and develops state-of-the-art aerospace hardware/software and includes university students in these endeavors (masters/Ph.D. thesis, etc.).

VISION: The world's leading research and development laboratory producing innovative aerospace products in the fields of navigation, RF, satellite technology, payload design, energy and sophisticated computer I/O and sensor systems.

DESCRIPTION: The Space R&D division is dedicated to producing innovative Aerospace hardware and software that works the first time within budget and schedule. The Space R&D division partners with government, industry and the education system to support the research and development endeavors.

PROJECTS: Small Satellites, NASA Get Away Special Canisters, Vehicle Based Independent Tracking System-Advanced Range Technology, Reusable Launch Vehicles (RLVs), Unmanned Launch Vehicles (ULVs), Sounding Rockets, Sophisticated Computer I/O, Power, RF and Sensor Systems, and Payload development for Space Shuttle and Space Station.

RESOURCES: Electrical, Computer and Machine Shop laboratories with State of the Art Design Software, Power, Fiber Optic, Computer, RF and Sensor system test equipment to develop new innovative aerospace products through functional prototype, development and testing.
